After HighLevel LIVE Manila: An AI Plan for Founders

HighLevel LIVE Manila brought founders, agency owners, builders, and educators together in Manila on August 8 and 9, 2026.
I said I was going to take a week off from running workshops.
I meant it. I just cannot help myself.
I had just spoken at HighLevel LIVE Manila. By the end of the event, I was tired, grateful, and ready to rest. Then I kept thinking about the conversations I had with founders, agency owners, and builders in the room.
They were carrying home pages of notes, new tools to explore, and ideas they wanted to put into their businesses. The problem was not a lack of information. It was deciding what to do first.
That is why I am opening AI Hour again this Wednesday.
What happened at HighLevel LIVE Manila?
HighLevel has been part of my work for years. Before it, building a complete client system usually meant connecting a funnel platform, email tool, automation software, calendar, conversation tool, and several other subscriptions.
At scale, that became expensive and difficult to manage. HighLevel gave us a way to consolidate much of the stack inside one platform.
But I also remember the early days. This was before workflows, before Conversation AI, and before the funnel builder became what it is now. There were times when we used other tools because they performed better for the job. We were pushing use cases that support teams did not always understand yet.
We kept building anyway.
That history made walking into HighLevel LIVE Manila feel different. I was not there only to talk about software. I was there to meet the people using it to build livelihoods, serve clients, and create opportunities.
Jay-cee Tan invited me to join the panel even though many of the other speakers came from her own community. She could have kept the room within her circle. She made space instead. That kind of generosity matters to me because stronger Filipino builders do not come from one person or one community guarding the door.

I met people who had learned from me, people who had joined my programs, and people I had not spoken to in years. I also met founders whose stories I was hearing for the first time.
Some wanted to grow an agency. Some wanted to turn their expertise into a SaaS product. Some simply wanted a business that worked without consuming their whole life.
That is the idea I kept coming back to after the event.
A CRM is not the outcome. An automation is not the outcome. An AI agent is not the outcome. The outcome is the customer getting a faster answer, the team making fewer mistakes, the founder getting time back, or the business producing a result more reliably.
I hope more Filipinos become the people who understand the business, shape the strategy, build the systems, and produce outcomes globally. Not only the people hired to follow instructions inside someone else's system.
Why more tools do not create clarity
A conference gives you possibility. Monday morning gives you your actual business.
The inbox is still full. Leads are still waiting. A team member is still asking what happens next. The founder is still the person holding the process together.
This is where good event energy often disappears. The founder tries to install everything at once, spends a week connecting tools, and ends up with a more complicated version of the same problem.
AI does not fix an unclear process. Automation does not remove the need for ownership. A faster system with no clear outcome can simply move confusion faster.
The better move is smaller.
A practical AI plan for non-technical founders
You do not need to become a developer. You do need to understand the business problem well enough to direct the system and judge its work.
Pick one expensive bottleneck
Choose a repeated task that costs time, delays a customer, or creates avoidable mistakes. Good starting points include lead follow-up, appointment reminders, inquiry triage, proposal drafting, reporting, or collecting missing information.
Name the business outcome
Describe what better looks like without naming a tool. A lead receives a useful reply within five minutes. A manager gets a clean weekly summary. A customer knows exactly what information is still missing.
Map the handoff
Write down what starts the process, what context the AI needs, what it may decide, and when a person must take over. The exception path matters as much as the happy path.
Build the smallest useful version
Make one real path work from input to output. Keep unusual cases manual at first. A small system used every day will teach you more than a large system that never leaves the diagram.
Test it with real work
Inspect the outputs. Record what failed. Improve the instructions and context. Keep a human responsible for the result, especially when the system speaks to customers or makes a consequential decision.
This is the difference between using AI as a collection of tricks and using it as part of a business system.
One creates demos. The other creates leverage.
The next conversation
I promised myself I would take a break from workshops this week. But the questions from HighLevel LIVE Manila were still with me.
So this Wednesday, I am hosting a smaller, practical AI Hour for non-technical founders. No parade of tools. No big presentation. Bring one real business question, one workflow that is still too manual, or one AI idea that has not become useful yet.
We will start there.
Frequently asked questions
What was HighLevel LIVE Manila 2026?
HighLevel LIVE Manila was an in-person HighLevel event held on August 8 and 9, 2026, at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts. It brought together founders, agency owners, builders, educators, and members of the Philippine HighLevel community.
What should a founder do after attending HighLevel LIVE Manila?
Choose one real business bottleneck, define the outcome, map the trigger and human handoff, build the smallest useful workflow, and test it with real work. Do not try to implement every idea or buy every tool at once.
How can a non-technical founder start using AI?
Start with a recurring business problem rather than an AI tool. Give the system examples and context, define what a good output looks like, keep a person responsible for review, and test a small workflow before expanding it.
Do I need HighLevel to attend AI Hour?
No. AI Hour is for non-technical founders with a real business question, manual workflow, or AI idea they want to make practical. HighLevel may be one implementation vehicle, but the session starts with the business outcome.
When is AI Hour for non-tech founders?
AI Hour is live online on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 8:00 PM in Manila. General admission is free through the event page on Nas.com.
